SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — A traffic stop on I-81 near Mount Jackson lead to the arrest of two convicted felons on Thursday.

The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office reports that after searching the vehicle, methamphetamine and a stolen firearm were recovered. During the investigation it was determined that both the driver and passenger were convicted felons.

The driver, identified as Irving Anthony Lesroy Mitchum III, 38 years old of Woodstock, VA was charged with:

  • 18.2-250: Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance
  • 18.2-308.2: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • 18.2-308.4: Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance

The passenger, identified as Kaleb Ryan Williams, 29 years old of Mount Jackson, VA was charged with:

  • 18.2-250: Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance
  • 18.2-108.1: Possession of a Stolen Firearm
  • 18.2-308.2: Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon
  • 18.2-308.4: Possession of a Firearm While in Possession of a Sch. I or II Controlled Substance

Deputies arrested Mitchum and Williams and transported both to the Rappahannock Shenandoah Warren (RSW) Regional Jail where they are being held without bond.
