The Harrisonburg Police Department (HPD) has announced in a traffic alert that the northbound lanes of S Main Street are blocked at Martin Luther King Jr. Way in Harrisonburg.

HPD reports that the blockage is due to a disabled tractor trailer and is expected to be an extended closure.

Drivers are encouraged to use S High Street or Reservoir Street to make their way north through the city.
