BROADWAY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Former Harrisonburg Police Officer J.D. Weaver has been appointed as Chief of Police for the Town of Broadway.

Officer Weaver has a background in the Marine Corps, was Chief of Police in Edinburg and was with the Washington D.C. Police Department for over twenty years.

The Broadway Town Council voted in October to terminate then Chief of Police Doug Miller.
