AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Rainfall from Hurricane Helene has caused several thousand power outages across Augusta County.
According to the Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative’s Outage Map, of 3 p.m. Friday, more than 3,900 of their customers, most of whom are in Augusta County, are without power.
SVEC reminded customers that crews are working as safely and quickly as possible. They are check svec.coop/outage for the latest information, and report outages by calling 1-800-234-7832, online at the above link, or through the MySVEC app.
UPDATE: As of 4:25 p.m. Friday, there are more than 4,500 reported outages.
