HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Community Foundation of Harrisonburg and Rockingham County announced this morning, February 2, 2026, that a new endowment fund will help organizations that specialize in historic preservation.

Executive Director Revlan Hill explained on Early Mornings why they selected that particular organization.

“So often, you have a fund for, food, humanitarian organizations, and there’s nothing wrong with that. We work with a lot of scholarships, but a fund for historic preservation is really special,” said Hill.

The historic preservation fund will be established by Audrey Louise Driver, and each year that fund will support organizations working in this area to the tune of an estimated 70-thousand dollars a year.
