The Shenandoah Valley Electric Cooperative is still working to restore power across the Valley after multiple outages Wednesday.

A release from SVEC said about 3,700 co-operative members are still without service as of Thursday morning. The majority of outages are in the southern Shenandoah Valley, with 1,390 members in Augusta County and 1,240 members without power in Rockingham County.

Crews are navigating smoky conditions and access issues in some areas because of widespread fires across the Valley, SVEC said in the release.

SVEC urges members to avoid downed power lines. Members can report outages to SVEC’s Outage Center, the MySVEC app or by calling 1-800-234-7832.
