GREENVILLE VA: (ROCKTOWN NOW) – On Friday morning, Augusta County Fire and Rescue responded to a structure fire off Lee Jackson Highway. Engine 255 from the Riverheads Volunteer Fire Department arrived at the Greenville area residence around 11:50 AM to find smoke emanating from the alpha side and flames visible on the delta side of the structure.
Fire and rescue teams from Middlebrook, Stuarts Draft, Staunton, and New Hope collaborated with the A-C-F-R EMS Supervisor to swiftly extinguish the blaze and manage the situation. The homeowner sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported to Augusta Health for treatment.
