HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) – The manager of Strite’s Legendary Donuts on Mount Clinton Pike has passed a critical 48-hour threshold after a fire-related incident earlier this week and is showing measured signs of improvement.

An update posted to social media states that Andrea Dawn’s vitals are holding steady, and, on Christmas Day, she was able to open one eye and nod her head to affirm she could see her loved ones nearby.

Dawn was airlifted Tuesday night to Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center after an accident that left her with third-degree burns over 50-percent of her body.

She is reportedly scheduled to undergo her first surgeries related to the event on Monday.
