STAUNTON, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The City of Staunton is developing a housing strategy that will provide a framework comprehensively describing how the city plans to meet its housing objectives.
Officials will be holding the second of their four scheduled public meetings tomorrow evening and Communications Manager Josh Knight explains the development of the strategy will take place over the next several months.
“The end result is going to be a document that will include housing data, summaries of all the involvement and engagement, and an action plan most specifically, and the action items will fall into three categories,” Knight said. “They’re gonna be things that can be done immediately, so within the next three months, after everything is wrapped up short term three to six months and then long term action items that are closer to 18 months or about a year and a half.”
The meeting will be from 5:30 to seven at City Hall. The public is invited to attend; however, there will not be a public comment period.
