AUGUSTA COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A Staunton man remains hospitalized following a police pursuit last week.
Lieutenant Leslie Snyder reported in a news release that at around 8 a.m. last Friday morning, deputies responded to the 200 block of Balsley Road east of Staunton for a report of a disorderly man.
When Deputies arrived, the man, who was identified as Michael David Keys Senior, left the scene in a 2002 Chevy truck.
Deputies tried to stop the vehicle, but Keys refused and a chase ensued. It ended when the truck crashed and flipped onto its side.
Keys was taken to Augusta Health for treatment.
He faces four charges, including felony eluding and driving under the influence.
