STAUNTON, VA (Rocktown Now) — Staunton City Schools are inviting families to get ready for the upcoming school year at its first annual Back-to-School Bash on July 21 and 22.

The event will be from 1 to 6pm and will be located at Staunton High School.

The event will offer a wide range of free services and resources for families and students of all ages, including:

  • School supplies and backpacks
  • Immunizations (For rising 7th and 12 graders on Monday, July 21)
  • Free haircuts
  • Clothing and shoes
  • Books to take home
  • Hygiene products
  • School registration assistance
  • Food and snacks
  • Information from community partners and organizations

“This event is all about preparing our students and families for a strong start to the school year,” said Nate Collins, executive director of student services for SCS. “It’s a reflection of our commitment to kindness, caring for their overall well-being, and making sure our students and families feel supported and confident heading into a new school year.”
