WAYNESBORO, VA (Rocktown Now) – Staffing shortages due to illness and crews supporting ongoing snow operations will delay trash collection for some areas in Waynesboro.

Residents are asked to leave trash cans out for pickup through Friday, December 12th.

According to an online statement, crews will work throughout the week to reach all neighborhoods.

However, all trash not collected this week, including extra bagged trash placed beside the container, will be picked up next week.

Public Works asks for community members to remain patient as the reduced trash collection team works to provide service as quickly and safely as possible.
