STANLEY, Va – (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Virginia State Police continues to investigate a fatal single-vehicle crash that occurred early Friday morning on Ida Road in Page County.

Spokesman Matt Demlein reports a 2003 Ford Mustang was heading westbound on Ida Road, just west of the intersection with Mills Lane, when it was unable to avoid a deer in the roadway.  After striking the deer, the Mustang went off of the right side of the road and down an embankment.  It then crossed a stream and struck another embankment, causing the Mustang to overturn twice.

The driver of the vehicle, 22-year-old Adam Fox of Stanley, was ejected and died at the scene.  Fox was not wearing a seatbelt.
