Sheriff Bryan Hutcheson told Rocktown Now that the burglaries likely happened between 11 p.m. Sunday night and 5 a.m. Monday morning.
“They went throughout a pretty good portion of that neighborhood just grabbing anything,” Hutcheson said. “They got laptops, some firearms, they got sunglasses, some money, anything that they could grab, you know, in the crime of opportunity that it was. But taking advantage of unlocked vehicles parked throughout the night.”
He asks anyone with a tip about the suspect (or suspects) to contact the sheriff’s office. Hutcheson is also reminding folks to lock their vehicles and remove any valuables before leaving them alone.
