FRONT ROYAL, VA (Rocktown Now) — UPDATE: Shenandoah National Parks have announced the suspension of its investigation into the whereabouts of a missing man.

The online post states that investigators have found no evidence Michael “Deric” Bennet is within the park’s boundary.

A search of the parks began after Bennet’s coworkers suggested he may be hiking the Appalachian Trail.

The 42-year-old man was last seen February 27th in Centreville.

Park officials thanked the Fairfax County Police Department for their assistance and the community for providing helpful information in the case.

 

A man has been deemed missing by Shenandoah National Park.

According to a release, Michael “Deric” Bennet is a 42-year-old white male and stands at 6 feet tall, weighs 190 pounds, and has brown hair. He has a dragon skeleton tattoo on his back and tribal print tattoos on his shoulders.

He was last seen February 27 in Centreville, Virginia. Coworkers believe he may be hiking the Appalachian Trail.
