SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Office arrested a man in Strasburg after he fled from a domestic dispute on Thursday.
SCSO says they were dispatched to the area of Company House Lane at around 1:30pm for a call regarding a domestic dispute. Prior to their arrival, the suspected individual, identified as 33-year-old James Tyler Clater fled the scene in a red SUV.
Deputies then discovered Clater’s vehicle at a residence in the area of the 500 block of Ash Street in Strasburg. A search warrant was then obtained at approximately 5:30pm.
At approximately 6:30pm, the search warrant was executed which resulted in two firearms and ammunition being recovered. Clater turned himself into the RSW Regional Jail without incident.
The following warrants were obtained and served on Clater: Brandishing a Firearm, Domestic Assault, Preventing a 911 Call, Abduction, Shooting into an Occupied Building, Possession of a Firearm by a Convicted Felon, and Use of a Firearm in the Commission of a Felony
