HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — Sentara RMH Medical Center was recognized nationally as a top cardiovascular hospital and earned a five-star rating on Forbes’ Top Hospitals 2026 list.
Sentara RMH was identified as one of the nation’s 50 Top Cardiovascular Hospitals® according to an independent quality analysis based on a balanced scorecard provided by Premier, Inc. and published by Modern Healthcare.
According to a release, Sentara RMH was one of only two Virginia hospitals to earn this distinction and was ranked #4 in the top community hospitals category.
“We’re really excited to see this recognition from Modern Healthcare, and to be in their top 50 cardiovascular hospitals list for 2026,” said Robert Garwood, MD, chief medical officer at Sentara RMH Medical Center. “Being on this list is recognition that our hospital provides superior patient outcomes, higher operational efficiency, a higher patient experience and extended outcomes to our community each and every day.”
