SHENANDOAH COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Shenandoah County Public Schools (SCPS) announced three schools are currently in lockdown and two campus schools in secure status due to a threat from a community member.

According to a release, Sandy Hook Elementary School, Signal Knob Middle School, and Strasburg High School are currently in a lockdown.

Central and Southern campus schools are on secure status. All students and staff are in the buildings, and nobody is allowed to enter or exit at this time.

SCPS is communicating with the Shenandoah County Sheriff’s Department as they work to resolve this issue quickly and safely.
