HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – A leader in outpatient medication-assisted treatment for opioid and alcohol use disorder cut the ribbon this morning on its new facility in Harrisonburg.

SaVida Health emphasizes a holistic approach to recovery, focusing on opioid and alcohol treatment, with a strong mental health component, according to the organization’s Chief Growth Officer Andy Ward.

“We provide medication assisted treatment for those suffering with addiction, and that includes a medical visit, a counseling visit, as well as care coordination of other services that the patient might need,” Ward said. “We do prescribe medications to help with cravings and withdrawals and things of that nature.”
