Samuel Edward Roach, Jr., 53, of Strasburg, formerly from Elkton, went to be with the Lord Saturday, August 31, 2024 at the University of Virginia Medical Center in Charlottesville. Samuel was born December 9, 1970 in Harrisonburg and was the son of the late Samuel Edward Roach Sr. and Fonda Williams Giles and Phillip Giles.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by grandparents, Luther Roach and wife, Minnie of Stanardsville and Russell Williams and wife, Hazel of Elkton.

Samuel loved the Dallas Cowboys, NASCAR racing and fishing. He will be missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Samuel leaves behind his fiancée, Pamela Riffle of Strasburg; daughter, Brittany Roach; son, Samuel Roach III; step-children, Emily Lilly, Brandy Decker, Cody Riffle; sisters, April Roach Cubbage of Elkton, Theresa (Terri) Roach of Halifax, Alkini Williams of Elkton; grandsons, Trevor Roach and Ayden Lam; step-grandchildren, Logan, Wyatt, Remington, Tristan, Amelia and Kelsey; special nephew that was like a brother, Justin Correa. Numerous nieces and extended family.

A Celebration of Life Service will be conducted 1 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2024 at Kyger Funeral Home in Elkton with Pastor Jimmy Kite officiating.

Visitation will be 12 to 1 p.m., Friday, September 6, 2024 prior to the service at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family to help with unexpected funeral expenses.
