ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. — Rockingham County fire and rescue officials have announced that they will lift the burn ban at 4pm.
Chief Jeremy Holloway explains the area has received sufficient moisture lately.
“We got some good rains last night,” Hollowway said. “We got really good rain, grass is greening up and we do know that there are some farmers that really need to get out there and clean some brush and things like that.”
Holloway still cautions folks to be extra careful when burning debris. He also reminds county residents that the state’s 4 pm burn law is still in effect.
