ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Rockingham County Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett briefly discussed the future of the Massanutten Technical Center (MTC) during last night’s School Board meeting. 

This comes after Harrisonburg Public Schools announced it will withdraw from MTC. 

Dr. Shifflett mentioned a meeting with County Administrator Casey Armstrong last Friday to discuss the process for pursuing a new bill. 

“To have conversations about that process and also to plan for an upcoming community conversation that we’re going to be holding on September 10 at Frieden Farms at 9:00.”

He continued by saying they hope to send invitations for that event today.
