Robert Edward Blosser, 86, of Timberville passed away February 18, 2024 at the Brunk House of VMRC in Harrisonburg. His faith in the Lord has now been made sight! He will have no need of a wheelchair in Heaven.

He was born June 11, 1937 in New Market to the late Kirby James and Dorothy Sours Blosser.

Robert served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1956-1959 serving most of his time in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba. Following his service, he went to work at Shen Valley Meat Packers and then later retired from Sysco Foods as a truck driver. Robert was a member of the Smith Creek Baptist Church. He was an avid baseball player, and played for the Twin County Twins, winning multiple MVP honors, and was inducted into the RCBL Hall of Fame. He looked forward each year to hunting season and found enjoyment in being outdoors, mowing, cutting wood and working in the garden with his wife.

On May 11, 1959 he married the former Gladys Virginia Zirkle who survives.

Also surviving are sons, David Blosser of Macon, GA, Mark Blosser and wife Kari of Mechanicsville, Robert Blosser Jr. and wife Janna of Timberville, Daniel Blosser and wife Kelly of Harrisonburg, Joey Blosser of Myrtle Beach, SC; grandchildren, Katie, Kara, Jessica, Emilee, Hannah, Hunter, Ella; great grandchildren, Finn & Clara; siblings, Doug Blosser, Carl Herbert Blosser, Mary Eaton; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Terri Elaine Blosser; brother, Donnie Blosser; sister Eleanor McClure.
