HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA is bringing holiday cheer to local families with the return of its beloved Home for the Holidays Pet Deliveries, presented by PCB.
Community members who adopt an eligible shelter pet between December 16–23 can opt to have their new companion delivered directly to their home by Santa’s elves on Christmas Eve or Christmas Day.
“Our Home for the Holidays program is a joyful tradition that brings pets and families together in a memorable and meaningful way,” said Madison Spiess, Development Associate at the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA. “Every adoption gives an animal a second chance, and this event adds a touch of magic to the experience.”
Adoptions must be completed in person at the RHSPCA, located at 2170 Old Furnace Rd, Harrisonburg, VA. To participate in the delivery program, adopters must live within 30 minutes of the shelter. A small delivery fee of $25 supports the RHSPCA’s ongoing efforts to care for homeless animals.
Spots are limited, and the program historically fills up quickly. Community members are encouraged to visit the shelter early in the adoption window to secure their holiday delivery.
PCB’s support as the presenting sponsor helps make this unique experience possible. “We’re grateful for the opportunity to be a part of such a heartwarming holiday tradition!” Said Sage Massie, spokesperson for PCB, “Supporting our community is at the heart of PCB’s mission and we’re excited to join the Rockingham-Harrisonburg SPCA in spreading a little extra Christmas cheer this season, bringing joy right to your doorstep!”
The RHSPCA cares for thousands of animals each year and works to ensure every adoptable pet has the opportunity to find a safe and loving home. Programs like Home for the Holidays help reduce overcrowding at the shelter while creating a heartwarming connection between the community and the animals in their care.
