ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Page County Sheriff Chad Cubbage reported that the human remains that were found last month in the county were that of a man who had been missing since September of 2022.

Cubbage reported on the department’s Facebook page that the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner confirmed yesterday that the remains were positively identified as Joshua Dee Bradford.

In the post, Cubbage offered thoughts and prayers to the Bradford family. It also stated his division has been working tirelessly on bringing closure and justice to the family.

Marcus Lee Lewis has been charged with second-degree murder in the case. He was arrested last December after an officer-involved shooting in Reno, Nevada, and is currently in custody there.
