ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Relay For Life is coming back to the Rockingham County Fairgrounds tomorrow evening to raise money for cancer research.

From 2:00 to 10:00 p.m. Saturday, local cancer survivors, caregivers, and other community members will be able to walk the track in honor of those who have beaten the disease, and in memory of the ones who have died from it.

Relay For Life’s Whitney Minnick told Rocktown Now that monetary donations have been pouring in ahead of tomorrow’s deadline.

“This community is just, it’s so generous and coming together to help out around these causes and we’ve raised over $130,000, which is over 70% to our goal,” Minnick said. “So, we’re excited to see where we end up.

The Sentara RMH Mobile Mammography Van will also offer on-site mammograms from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m.

Folks can still donate through this link.
