ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Community feedback is being gathered to shape the future of education in Rockingham County for the next five years.
Rockingham County Public Schools announced on Monday that they are opening a survey to collect input from the RCPS community regarding the division’s 2024-2029 Comprehensive Plan. According to a news release from RCPS, the plan will focus on enhancing classroom instruction and boosting student achievement, with all decisions based on thorough data collection and analysis.
Feedback from the survey will help the RCPS School Board and administrators to identify key focus areas and guide decision-making for initiatives that matter most to Rockingham County.
“Community input is essential to developing our comprehensive plan,” RCPS Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett said in the release. “We encourage all RCPS community members to share their voices and help us shape a strong, unified direction for our school division.”
The survey will be open until Thursday, Nov. 7, and all responses will be kept confidential. The survey can be accessed here.
