ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – The Rockingham County School Board announced that next Monday, February 17 and Tuesday, February 18 will be regular school days instead of professional development at tonight’s meeting. Superintendent Dr. Larry Shifflett said during his comments that because of the upcoming snowstorm there will possibly be more snow days ahead.

“It’s going to be 55 (degrees) on Thursday, I’m thankful for that,” said Dr. Shifflett. “So maybe we can get back in school before the weekend. That’s my goal, that’s my plan. But we’re just trying to get through winter.”

According to AccuWeather reports, 4 to 8 inches of snow is expected tomorrow, February 11th with ice going into Wednesday, February 12th.
