Randy Glenn Rue, 70, a resident of Rockingham, passed away on Monday, September 30, 2024 at his home.
Mr. Rue was born on April 12, 1954 in Redfield, South Dakota and was a son of the late Glenn and Joyce Lobbdel Rue. He served in the United States Air Force from 1972 until 1974 and in the National Guard for more than 25 years. He worked at RMH for 35 years beginning as an orderly, LPN and then RN. In his spare time he was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed bowling and golfing. He loved his faithful dog, “Jack-Jack.”
Surviving is his wife, Mary Ruth Smith Rue; children, James Daniel Rue, Charles Glenn Rue; siblings, Michael Dale Rue, Richard Benting, Nicolas Rue; granddaughter, Hannah Marie Rue who fondly referred to him as “PePaw”, and his beloved dog, “Jack-Jack.”
In addition to his parents, Mr. Rue was preceded in death by a brother, Steve Benting.
Pastor Rob Gilmer will conduct a memorial service on Saturday, October 5, 2024 at 5 p.m. at the McMullen Funeral Home Chapel with military rites by the Dayton American Legion Post 27.
