ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – The Rockingham County woman who is accused of setting fire to a home near Fulks Run earlier this year was scheduled to appear in court this week.

According to online records, both sides agreed to continue the preliminary hearing for Christina Sue Ritchie until Nov. 7 in Harrisonburg/Rockingham County General District Court.

Ritchie, 44, faces a felony count of arson in connection with a fire that destroyed a home in the 8300 block of Brocks Gap Road on June 3. Rockingham County Fire Chief Jeremy Holloway reported that the blaze caused an estimated $100,000 in damage.

Ritchie remains in custody.
