Phyllis Anne “Rose” Bauserman, 76, a resident of Strasburg, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2024 at her home.
Ms. Bauserman was born on January 30, 1948 in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Franklin and Velma Viola Cassidy Payne. She retired from Food Lion in 2023. She enjoyed her work there and the customers. In her free time, she enjoyed crafting, gardening and flowers. She was proud of her Native American Heritage.
Surviving are her children, Stuart Rogers of Strasburg, Michelle Bolton of Harrisonburg, Regina Rogers of Strasburg, Temple Kellogg of Staunton; siblings Robert Payne of Harrisonburg and wife Doris of Elkton, Charles Payne of Harrisonburg, Lorna Prichard and husband Ben of Port Republic; grandchildren, Cody Hottinger, Christian Hahn, Amanda Hottinger, Sarah Hottinger; great-grandson, Dakotta Sprankle; grand fur babies, Tully, Raven, Scout, and Storm Snowy; and sisters-in-law, Erma Payne, Doris Payne.
In addition to her parents, Ms. Bauserman was preceded in death by her siblings, James Payne and wife Barbara, Harold Payne and a sister-in-law, Joyce Payne.
Following cremation, a celebration of life service will be announced at a later date.
