WEYERS CAVE, VA (Rocktown Now) — Pete Barlow officially launched his campaign for Congress on Wednesday, August 20, at Valley Pike Farm Market in Weyers Cave.
The event marked the kick-off of Barlow’s “People Talk to Pete: The Truck Tour”, where he will reportedly travel through towns and hollows across Virginia’s 6th Congressional District to hear directly from families and small businesses.
Barlow said, “The Valley’s custom is to bring people together to deal with the things that matter. For too long, political leaders have driven us apart. So, I’m going to visit with people throughout this district and listen to the folks Ben Cline refuses to hear.”
The campaign’s Truck Tour continues with stops currently scheduled for:
- Friday, August 22 – Page County Fair (5–9 p.m.): Barlow will be walking the fairgrounds, to meet and talk with community members.
- Saturday, September 20 – Bath County Fair (10 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at Millboro Elementary School. Snacks and beverages provided.
