ROCKINGHAM COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Paving operations may slow drivers down on Route 33 near the town of Elkton.

Ken Slack from the Virginia Department of Transportation says contractors are milling and paving eastbound Route 33 from the River Bridge to the intersection with Sapling Spring Road.

Slack says to expect single lane closures along this roughly 2-and-a-half-mile stretch, from 7am to 7pm all this week and next.
