PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Page County Sheriff’s Office is hosting a self-defense class beginning May 13 that is designed to teach women how to protect themselves against sexual assault.

The Rape Aggression Defense, or RAD program, is a four-part class that’s happening each Tuesday and Thursday for the next two weeks. All classes will be held at Luray High School.

The dates are May 13, 16, 20, and 13 from 5:30pm until 8:30pm.

There is no cost to attend, but registration is limited to the first 30 people who sign up.

The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who signs up to attend at least the first three sessions.
