PAGE COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — Page County’s open air burn ban has now been lifted.
According to a statement by the Stanley Volunteer Fire Department, the burn ban that went into effect last Wednesday due to extreme fire conditions caused by high winds and dryness has been terminated.
However, authorities stress that the Virginia State burn law is still in effect which allows residents to burn only after 4pm.
Anyone with questions regarding compliance is asked to contact the Page County Emergency Communications Center.
