RICHMOND, VA (Rocktown Now) — A new program being introduced by the Virginia War Memorial Foundation will honor state veterans and help reunite them with their units.

The Salute to Service program is scheduled to begin next year and will pay tribute to veterans who served in Operation Desert Storm.  Next year will mark the 35th anniversary of that conflict.

Future tributes will honor Vietnam veterans and those who served during the Global War on Terror.
