HARRISONBURG, VA (Rocktown Now) — A new trial date has been set for the Harrisonburg City Transit bus driver who was arrested last year on sexual abuse charges.
Howard Feldmeier of McGaheysville was scheduled to go to trial today but, according to online records, it was continued and a judge set a new trial date of September 10 in Rockingham County Circuit Court.
Feldmeier, who turns 70 years old today, was arrested last January 21 after he was indicted by a grand jury on four felony charges, including two counts of aggravated sexual battery with a child under 13 years old.
Feldmeier was placed on administrative leave pending the conclusion of the case.
The trial is expected to last two days.
