NELSON COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) – Police are seeking the public’s help locating an Augusta County woman wanted in connection to the homicide of man in Nelson County.
According to a release by Nelson County Sheriff Mark Embrey, Katelynn Ann Hipes, life-long resident of Augusta County, has outstanding Felony Warrants for her arrests including Second-Degree Murder and Use of a Firearm in Commission of a Felony in relation to the homicide of Kevin Scott Small of Shipman.
Sheriff Embrey stated that, last Friday, Deputies responded to a private residence in the Shipman-area for a report of an ‘unresponsive’ male subject and found Kevin Small outside of the residence with a single gunshot-wound to the chest.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Authorities say the 22-year-old Hipes is still at large but is no longer in Nelson County.
