HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – Funeral arrangements have been announced for a longtime educator at several school divisions in the Valley.

According to his obituary, Bill Claiborne Ingram passed away on Monday at his home.

After graduating from Richmond Professional Institute, which became Virginia Commonwealth University, he taught in multiple capacities at Luray High School. Ingram then served for 14 years as the assistant principal at Turner Ashby High.

He spent the latter years of his career as principal at Bath County, Luray, and Warren County.

A memorial service for Mr. Ingram will be held at noon tomorrow at Vision of Hope United Methodist Church in Harrisonburg.

He was 79 years old.
