Meet Waylon! Waylon is a young shepherd on the hunt for his forever home. He’s a social, energetic, smart and loyal companion with so many more amazing qualities. He loves to go for walks or spend time outside. Like most shepherds, he may require more mental and physical stimulation than other dog breeds, making him the perfect fit for an active family. Although he does like to expend his energy, he loves being lazy with his family and getting all the cuddles he can. Waylon loves all humans, including children, but due to his size, energy and excitement when he sees children, he may jump up and knock them over. He would do best in a home with older children who can handle his jumpy tendencies, or with children who are used to jumpy behaviors with dogs and not scared by it. Just like people, he loves other animals. He is said to have done well living with a cat, as well as two smaller dogs in his previous home.
Waylon is also very smart, already having many commands under his belt. He’s very treat-motivated, which will make learning new tricks and routines much easier! Waylon has experience with housetraining and crate training but may need a refresher once he gets home. He does well in the car but may get sick on car rides that are longer. Some of Waylon’s favorite things about life are belly rubs, going on outdoor adventures, fruit and most importantly, his people! If you’re interested in meeting Waylon, stop by the RHSPCA today!

Meet Chevy! He’s a loveable and chatty fellow who’s daily goals consist of getting as much attention as possible, followed up by enjoying some good food. Chevy takes eating seriously! Food of any kind is his favorite, and it’s a very quick way to win his heart! He’s a very excitable kitty, and sometimes, when he’s overexcited, he forgets how to play gently. Because of that, Chevy would do best in a home with older children, who can understand when he needs a break in playtime. If you’re looking for a new furry friend to brighten your days, Chevy is the cat for you!
