MCGAHEYSVILLE, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – McGaheysville Volunteer Fire Company is gearing up for their annual lawn party and they are looking for donations that may not fall under the typical category.

The fire company is seeking donation of boxed cake mix and containers of frosting for the traditional highlight of the annual event: the cake wheel.

The cakes are baked by the fire company the week of the lawn party, which starts next Thursday, July 25 through Saturday, July 27.

The fire company said on their Facebook page that donations can be brought to the fire station and all donations need to be collected by Tuesday, July 16.
