Lynne´ “NayBaby” Patricia (Rexrode) Rhodes, 64, of Port Republic, passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at her residence surrounded by her family.
Mrs. Rhodes was born on June 27, 1959, in Harrisonburg, and was a daughter of the late Sevie Lee and Loretta Mae (Morris) Rexrode. She graduated from Montevideo High School. Lynne´ worked in Human Resources for Genicom, and later for Sysco. She also ran Rustics Clothing Store and Tropical Tans. Mrs. Rhodes worked as a property manager for Peak Builders. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Olive Brethren Church. Lynne´ enjoyed going to the beach and loved Highland Cows. She was a big fan of Jimmy Buffett and Prince. Her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
On December 6, 1996 she married Dennis “Dennie” Rhodes, who survives.
In addition to her husband, Lynne´ is survived by her children, Tabitha Carter and husband, Jeremy, Crystal Jones and husband, Marcel; brother, Kevin Rexrode and wife, Rachel; grandchildren, Sofia Jones, Alyx Carter, Kalin Jones, Nash Carter; brother in law, Keith Rhodes and wife, Carol; a niece, Caline Thomas and husband, JT; nephews, Jeremy Rexrode and wife, Teresa, Kevin Morris, Ben Rexrode and companion, Jessy Batton; great-nieces and nephews, Jordan Buchanan, MacKenzie “Mack” Rexrode, Payton Thomas, Zachariah Rexrode, Jameson Thomas, Raegan Thomas; great-great-nephew, Aidan Rexrode; aunts and uncles, Bobbie Rogers, Linda Hottinger and husband, Lonnie, Wayne Morris and wife, Stephanie; Wilson “Beard” Rexrode and companion, Karen, Pennie Fox, Gary Rexrode and wife, Golda; and special friends, Donna Hayslett, Vickie Louderback, and Carson Rexrode.
Mrs. Rhodes was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Alfred and Lucille Morris, Claude and Arbutus Rexrode; a great-nephew, Matthew Rexrode; aunt and uncles, Martin Rexrode and Chick, and Donnie Rexrode.
A memorial service will be conducted on Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10 a.m., at Mt. Olive Brethren Church with Dr. Fred Miller officiating. Entombment will be held privately prior to the service.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5 until 7 p.m., at the Harrisonburg Chapel of Kyger Funeral Home.
