AUGUSTA COUNTY, VA (Rocktown Now) — It is 18 years in prison for the Lyndhurst man who pleaded guilty to 33 counts of possession of child pornography.

Online records showed that Rodney Ray Wood was sentenced this week in Augusta County Circuit Court.

He was sentenced to a total of 48 years in prison with 30 of those years suspended.

Wood pleaded guilty last August to one initial charge of possession of child pornography and 32 subsequent offense charges.

He was arrested in April of last year after his girlfriend, who was suspicious that he might be cheating on her, began look through his laptop and came upon the child pornography material.
