LURAY, VA (Rocktown Now) — The Luray Police Department arrested a female suspect today, March 19, 2025, at approximately 5:50 a.m., after being dispatched to the 7-Eleven located at 610 East Main Street in Luray for a reported vehicle theft.

According to Chief C.S. “Bow” Cook, upon arrival, officers learned that a physical altercation had occurred between the vehicle’s owner and a female suspect in the parking lot.

During the altercation, the suspect allegedly gained control of the vehicle and stole it from the owner. The suspect then left the parking lot, returned a short time later, and drove the vehicle through the front of the store before fleeing the scene.

Witnesses reported that the suspect had also allegedly stolen merchandise from the store prior to the incident.

Shortly after the crash, officers were notified of the vehicle’s location and responded to the area, where they located the vehicle still running with the suspect inside. Officers made contact with the suspect and safely took her into custody.

Michelle Blosser, 38 years old, was taken into custody by Officer J. Painter and charged with:

• Two counts of Felony Destruction of Property

• One count of Carjacking

• One count of Misdemeanor Petit Larceny

• One count of Attempted Malicious Wounding

• One count of Driving Suspended

• One count of Hit & Run

• One count of Obstruct Law Enforcement

This case remains under investigation.
