Lloyd Mast, 79, a resident of Harrisonburg, VA, passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024, at Jefferson Frankford Hospital, in Philadelphia, PA after a brief illness.

Lloyd was born on December 16, 1944, in Arthur, IL, to the late Menno M. and Minnie Beachey Mast. After leaving the home farm to complete 1W service in Cincinnati, he used his ability to connect and engage with people in various management roles, including starting and owning three businesses in Smithville, OH.

On November 24, 2001, he married Donna Rohrer Mast, who survives.

In addition to his wife, Lloyd is survived by his children, Jeremy Mast of North Canton, OH, Brian Mast and wife Cheryl, of Goshen, IN, Tonya Kuhn and husband Adam, of Columbus, OH; step-children, Colin Sauder of Bethlehem, NH, Alexis Rutt and husband Jason, of Harrisonburg, VA, Derek Sauder and wife Kierra, of Philadelphia, PA; siblings, Ora Mast and wife Rhoda, of Lancaster, PA, Ellen Yoder of Atlanta, GA; grandchildren, Mackenzie Mast, Tristan Mast, and Tobias Mast, and step-grandchildren, James Rutt, Quinn Rutt and Lucy Rutt

In addition to his parents, Lloyd was preceded in death by his siblings, Lydia Mast, Henry Mast, Alva Mast; and his brother-in-law, Glen Yoder.

Lloyd loved music of all kinds and enjoyed singing in choirs and in a men’s quartet. Lloyd had a true zest for life, was curious about everything, and never met a person he couldn’t talk to. He was known for his love of breakfasts, playing games, pottery, working on creative projects, buying gadgets, and ice cream.

A service celebrating Lloyd’s life will be held at 11am on June 21st at Park View Mennonite Church with Phil Kniss officiating. Additional service details and the livestream of the service may be viewed at pvmchurch.org/lloydmast/
