Linda Shiflet Knight, 76, passed away unexpectedly at Sentara RMH on Sunday, March 3, 2024.

Linda was born on October 2, 1947, in Harrisonburg, VA to the late Warren and Geneva Shiflet. She was preceded in death by her brother, Norman Lee. Linda is survived by her husband, Kenny Knight, whom she was married to for 58 years. She is survived by her 3 children, Chris Knight (Aimme) of Bridgewater, VA, Tiffany Powers (Paul) of Richmond, VA and Preston Knight (Carrie) of Harrisonburg, VA. Linda adored her 9 grandchildren, Chandler, Brooklyne, Courtlend, Brody, Drew, Keegan, Dawson, Sadie and Emmett. She was also blessed to have 2 great-grandchildren, Ayden and Ava, and her beloved dog, Kobe.

Linda was a graduate of Turner Ashby High School’s class of 1966. She loved all of her work families including Dr. Frederick Fox, Hess Orthopedics, Newman Avenue Associates and most recently Sunnyside Retirement Community where she worked as a Concierge.

Linda spent her life caring and nurturing others. She was a “giver” and felt such joy in helping all those around her and spoiling her grandkids. Linda never met a stranger and found such happiness in having conversations with others.
