BUENA VISTA, VA (Rocktown Now) – A recent traffic stop in Rockbridge County led to the arrest of a Lexington man on larceny charges.

Officers with the Buena Vista Police Department conducted a traffic stop last Thursday night on a vehicle traveling westbound on Route 60 for speeding. Radar confirmed the vehicle was traveling 50 miles per hour in a 35-mile-per-hour zone.

During the stop, the driver displayed suspicious behavior, which led to further investigation.

A search of the vehicle found a large quantity of copper fittings that were determined to have been stolen. The copper fittings were valued at $3,696.41.

David Fix was then taken into custody and charged with Grand Larceny and Larceny with Intent to Sell or Distribute.

The 47-year-old Fix is being held without bond at Rockbridge Regional Jail.
