Joseph (Joe) Crawford Armentrout, 57, of Elkton, Virginia, departed life peacefully at home on Friday, February 16, 2024 with his beloved wife at his side. He fought a courageous battle with cancer for the last year. He was born January 19, 1967 in Harrisonburg, and was the son of Patricia Knight and step-father, the late Nelson Knight.

Joe received his General Education Development (GED) in 1994. He retired from Rockingham Cooperative (Dayton Mill) with devoting 25 years of service. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. Favorite travel destinations included the Carolina beaches and Alaska.

He is survived by his wife, Dorenda Flick Armentrout. They shared 18 years together. He is also survived by three children and four grandchildren. They include daughters, Erica Wojciechowski, Mindi Griffith (Todd), Kara Armentrout; granddaughters, Natalie Wojciechowski, Olivia Griffith, and Caroline Griffith; and grandson, Frankie Wojciechowski.

Joe is the eldest of three children. He leaves behind April (Dawn) Dellinger and husband, Carl, and Brent Knight and wife, Christi.

He was preceded in death by a special grandmother, Elsie Armentrout.
