Jonathan Elwood Sadler, 58, of Broadway, Virginia, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at his home.

Jonathan was born July 17, 1965 to Allan Elwood and Barbara Lee Richardson Sadler of Virginia Beach.

Jonathan grew up in Virginia Beach and attended Norfolk Christian School and Cox High School. He graduated from East Carolina University.

Jonathan lived in many places over the years and eventually moved back to his home in Virginia where he met and married Sara Duling in 2018.

Jon never met a stranger; he was a great conversationalist who left an impression on everyone who met him.

In addition to his parents, Jonathan is survived by his wife, Sara Sadler; a son, Wyatt Benjamin Sadler; a brother, Scott Sadler and wife, Tonie of Virginia Beach; father and mother-in-law, John and Jackie Duling of Penn Laird; brothers-in-law, Chris Duling and Jacob Duling, as well as nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Carolyn Deans.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Friday, April 12, 2024, at Kyger Funeral Home in Harrisonburg. A memorial will be held at a later date in Virginia Beach.
