HARRISONBURG, Va. (ROCKTOWN NOW) – James Madison University may have its next Athletic Director.

Yahoo’s Ross Dellenger broke the news earlier today the JMU is targeting Eastern Kentucky University athletic director Matt Roan for the same position in Harrisonburg.

JMU is expected to announce Roan’s appointment later this week during a regularly scheduled Board of Visitors meeting.

The 40-year-old Roan is a Dublin, Virginia, native who played football at Virginia Tech.

He will replace Jeff Bourne, who led the Dukes athletic program for the last 25 years and will retire in the spring.
